If you need to engage the engine first to achieve green conditions, here's the workaround I use, with which you can fool the game into thinking you're activating the engine on conditions: You need to activate it through staging when all conditions are green. Okay then, when launching, click in the "contracts" button on the top right corner and look for the lvt45 contract. Only options are to activate/deactive engine and lock/unlock gimble.
